As the Database Architect, you will work closely with the IT team to ensure high availability and high performance of our 'Big Data' predictive analytic servers and applications. You will have the opportunity to support Data Scientists by providing an optimal analytic infrastructure for our Enterprise Big Data processing.Responsibilities:
Install, upgrade, configure, and tune SQL Server analytic environments
Analyze relational and storage engine issues and provide appropriate solution
Implement monitoring solutions for analytical environment
Perform database backup and recovery
Manage database backup and recovery processes
Qualifications:
7+ experience as a SQL Server DBA, preferably in a Virtual Enterprise SaaS environment
Experience working with Big Data and Large Datasets
Capable of simplifying complex TSQL solutions, as well ability to troubleshoot and write scripts
Ability to identify and resolve relational and storage engine performance issues
Past experience performing data conversion and Server Migrations
Working with SQL Server High Availability solutions
Experience installing, configuring and maintaining SQL Server in a Clustered environment, as well as Transactional Replication
Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Administration and Report writing desirable
Familiarity with SSIS a plus
