Description: Database Architect / Sr. DeveloperJob Profile: Verient is looking for Database Architect/Sr, Engineer who can participate in the development of new and exciting product/platform and participate in a highly creative and dynamic working environment. Track record of strong data modeling based on given business requirements.
Financial Services Software and/or Internet Commerce Platform experience.
Entrepreneurial drive, demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment.
Required Skills and Responsibilities:
Oracle RDBMS, advanced SQL queries.
Transforming business requirements into technical specs, scalable data model, development and implementation.
Store procedures (PL/SQL), packages, tuning, exception handling. ETL development. Data capture, transformation, scrubbing, loading and migration.
Unix/Linux scripting.
Working with XML data structures, oracle XML clobs etc. Query and Database Performance Tuning and optimization.
Assist in application development, debugging, configuration and optimization from database perspective.
Following skills a plus:
Java
Oracle 10g
Database clustering,
Database administration.
Other databases like MySQL, PostGres, Sybase.
Understanding of Java ORM like Hibernate.
Development in eCommerce applications.
TOAD, SubVersion/CVS.
