Database Conversion Specialist Edupoint Educational Systems

We are currently looking for an experienced database conversion specialist to assist the Project Manager in the implementation of all Edupoint customers. This position will manage the data conversion process in its entirety; ensuring accurate data migration is achieved during the allotted time period. Job Duties:
Manage and perform all data conversion/migration duties required during implementation.
Provide clear and concise data conversion exception logs and error reports to Edupoint customers.
Assist with all other technical duties related to implementation, such as system installation/setup, hardware configuration and 3rd party software integration.
Become a Subject Matter Expert in all technical areas required for implementation.
Identify and proactively address any potential risks to the project, as it relates to data conversion and other technical areas.
Maintain timely communication with customers throughout the Implementation phase.
Facilitate and ensure adherence to project plans based on Edupoint?s implementation methodology for all implementations.
Report project status to Vice President of Implementation on a regular basis.
Job Requirements-Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
-Knowledge:
K-12 education knowledge preferred, knowledge of student information systems a plus.
-Skill:
Extensive experience with database management systems (Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle) including the creation of SQL scripts for the purpose of manipulating and inserting data.
-Ability:
Excellent verbal/written communication required. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks. Attention to detail required.
Ability to travel extensively, 50-100% of working hours spent traveling.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Technology or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
