Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with MS SQL Server
- A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent education
- Experience designing entity diagrams and creating SQL scripts
- Experience writing stored procedures for data access and update
- Experience tuning SQL queries or stored procedures
- Experience with SSIS to produce data output
- Experience with a test harness for SQL code would be a strong asset
- Experience with “Change Data Capture†(CDC) would be an asset
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Work with application developers to design database schema
- Update create SQL scripts to include new entities and objects
- Write stored procedures used by application for data access and update
- Fix defects found in the system
- Perform peer code and design reviews
- Write tests to exercise new code
- Create SSIS packages to create data outputs
- Maintain work items (defects, tasks) in TFS to reflect the work accomplished
- Actively participate in the Agile process
