The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing objects for data warehouses and SQL/Perl scripting utilizing various database technologies and have the ability and experience to quickly solve complex problems through elegant software design and hard work. The candidate will join a highly talented and relentlessly innovative team of engineers, product managers, ad industry experts, and account management professionals, and should be comfortable contributing in a group setting that promotes the free exchange of ideas.Responsibilities:
Supporting the ongoing development and architecture of MediaMath?s enterprise data warehouse environment.
Develop SQL/Perl/PL SQL/Shell scripts for new projects and support existing applications
Interpret client requirements and write sqls to produce reports
Ensure that the development work is documented and maintained
Perform QA functions, including ensuring that unit, system and integration test plans are developed and executed
Support day-to-day operations and other on call activities
Staying abreast of latest database technology and tools
Requirements:
2-5 years of total IT experience
2 + years in development, solving technology issues, full life cycle Data Integration projects
Strong developer technology skills in ANSI SQL for Netezza/Oracle/Postgres with an understanding of data architecture and extensive design and implementation experience
Good understanding of Perl script skills development using libraries and exception handling
Intermediate level skills in ANSI Standard SQL, Procedures, Perl, Shell scripts
Ability to handle Regular expression in SQL/Perl script a plus
Strong experience in Postgres, MySQL a plus
Development experience in UNIX or Linux environment (Redhat)
Erwin or other data design documentation skills a plus
Experience in handling large volume of data a plus
Must possess skills to understand the problem and implement a solution for the application related issues
Should have good documentation/communication skills
Should be flexible and possess the right attitude
