This position is based in the SOMA district of San Francisco. We are located next to a Muni Metro station, close to Cal-Train, and 10 minutes by Muni from BART.
This Database Programmer position is an opportunity for a creative, self-motivated contributor to drive database systems architecture and applications development in a production operations environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Convert various projects from SQL Server to MySQL
Continue the migration from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005 or newer
Coordinate with other teams about SQL Schemas and Queries to be used in production
Diagnose and tune various database platforms' performance
Develop Operations Support, Business Analysis, and Customer Reporting Database Applications
On-call support of the backend systems
Required Skills:
SQL Server Procedure writing
MySQL Procedure writing
Work in a Linux environment
Perl/Shell programming
Ability to diagnose problems
Desired Skills:
OLAP design and management. IE: SQL Server Analysis services
Report development. IE: SQL Server Reporting services
Oracle experience
Percona
Pentaho
