Responsibilities:
Collaborate on an Agile development team to design and implement strategic reporting functionality using analytics and business intelligence tools.
Design, develop, optimize, and maintain an Oracle database warehouse.
Develop, debug, and tune production database performance in a Linux operating system using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
Work with the Engineering and Operations teams to develop, test, and support Zipcar systems.
Qualifications:
A passion for database development and leveraging business intelligence analytics technologies such as Spotfire, Cognos BI, Oracle BI.
In depth knowledge of Oracle 10g/11g SQL and PL/SQL programming.
Familiarity with Linux operating system and shell scripting.
Comfortable with Agile development techniques.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ruby on Rails experience would be a plus, but not required
Experience in ETL scripting or ETL tools.
Scripting experience using Perl, Python, Ruby, Tcl.
Web development experience using HTML/Javascript/CSS.
