Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
Post-sales installation and support activity.
Hardware and software deployments in customer datacenters
Develop a substantial knowledge of the company's product line.
Ability to install, support and debug product line.
Understand the industry and Company processes and how to utilize resources to complete assigned tasks.
Document customer installations, trouble ticket response, solutions designs.
Create installation status reports.
Provide weekly status report of activities to manager.
Participate in weekly staff calls with manager.
Travel to customer sites when required.
Qualifications for this role are:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Able to take directions and see a project or task through to completion.
Team player who can work well with others or independently.
1-3 Years? experience in Operating systems with emphasis on Linux
Red Hat, SUSE, Debian, Ubuntu, etc.
Knowledge and experience with Storage systems (SAN, NAS) is a significant advantage
Scripting (Shell), C++, Java, Perl is a plus
Knowledge in file system deployment and concepts: EXT, XFS, ZFS, EXT3/4.
1-3 years? experience in Networking infrastructure and trouble shooting.
Networking Certification or experience is desirable.
Associates Degree or Technical Equivalent (5 years work experience) or higher.
Ability to travel domestically.
