DBA Manager Autotask

Job Summary:
The Database Administrator Manager will work as part of the database administration (DBA) team within the Technology department and will be the main point of contact for all database administration team members. The Database Administrator Manager will prioritize and schedule incoming work as well as communicate goals and objectives to the database administration team. They will assign and manage tasks within projects that require DBA resources. They will also serve as the liaison within the Technology department and among other departments. The Database Administrator Manager will report to the Director of Technology & Infrastructure.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage the Database Administration team personnel, including recruiting and hiring, performance reviews, compensation adjustments, and maintaining a culture of excellence.
Manage assignments of the Database Administration team, including establishing goals and objectives, priorities, tasks and providing status updates to the Director of Technology & Infrastructure and other stakeholders.
Managing projects involving the Database Administration team, including providing accurate estimates, creating projects and schedules, and ensuring tasks and projects are completed according to high levels of quality and predictability.
Provide technical leadership to the Database Administration team.
Serve as a central point of contact for the Database Administration team.
Work closely with other departments such as software development and client services as well as with other staff within the technology department
Conduct ongoing planning of database resource requirements and monitor performance.
Communicate effectively within the Technology and database administration teams as well as with other departments within the organization, such as Development and Client Services
Provide trending analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
Keep current on DB technology trends, processes, and tools, and ensure Autotask remains current.
On and off-hours support for database-related issues.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and 5-7 years of hands on experience in MSSQL Server. Should include experience in administration, installation and troubleshooting MSSQL in a clustered environment.
5-7 years experience of broad and in-depth understanding of implementing and supporting database information technologies, storage devices, Storage Area Networks and disaster recovery.
3-5 years experiencing managing a team of DBAs.
Excellent project management skills with a proven record of meeting project timelines and budgets.
Excellent communication, organization and documentation skills.
Strong project and time management skills.
Desire to succeed, grow skill sets, and a positive attitude.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
