DBA/Software Engineer BATS Trading
Responsibilities? Create and maintain test and production Postgresql databases. Responsibilities could include the creation of
databases, schema changes, creation of stored procedures, database performance tuning, and database backup.
? Develop and implement strategies around the segregation and archival of data to meet both performance and
regulatory requirements.
? Write and maintain programs using the Python programming language. These programs will be used for regulatory
and internal reporting, as well as data archival.
Requirements
? Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
? Experience with relational databases and SQL.
? Experience with tiered and/or MPP (massively parallel processing) database implementations a plus.
? Significant experience and knowledge in complex IT system design, implementation, and support.
? Excellent communication skills, along with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
? Experience with Postgres, Python, and/or Unix is a plus.
