In this role, you will be responsible for pricing & deal structuring, data and financial modeling, analysis, and reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making at fast growing technology company.
The Deals Desk Analyst ?Service Sales will be heavily involved in structuring and reviewing non-standard pricing deals, which includes direct interaction with high levels of sales and finance management teams. This position includes driving continuous improvement to the current analytical approaches, business practices, processes and policies to improve analytical insight and improve operational efficiency for the Deals Desk function. The successful candidate will develop the role as a trusted business advisor to the field sales teams.
Success in the role requires a team player approach, ability to work across organizations with disparate needs, creativity and original thinking to proactively identify new and different approaches to analyzing data, and to synthesize multiple information sources to generate fresh strategic insights.
Provide first level review and analysis of non-standard deals by working directly with the global service sales management organization.
Deal review includes discounting analysis, deal structure, business terms and identification of potential risks and/or opportunities that can affect performance, growth and strategic positioning within key accounts.
Assist in analyzing deals for revenue recognition compliance, including key Accounting personnel when required.
Business Process and Analytics
Assist in the development, delivery and execution of corporate standards around deal analysis, discounting and Governance.
Provide assistance to Service Sales Management, Sales Planning and Analysis team on the development and execution of data and fact-based monitoring and metrics to track Deal Desk operating efficiency and deal structuring effectiveness.
Customer Informational and Contract Requests
Assist Service Sales Management, Sales Operations and Deals Desk team in supporting information and analysis requests for business process support around RFPs/RFQ responses.
Assist in the development and delivery of the sales enablement tools to support deal and customer account level pricing agreements.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years with complex software solutions and SaaS models.
Experience working the deal desk/order management team including:
Contracts preparation in conjunction with legal & finance teams
Ability to analyze & recommend the best course of action for complex pricing & licensing situations.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and prior experience with modeling and analysis is essential in performing the role successfully.
Team player: experience working across functions to deliver customer/prospect/client facing proposals
3 to 5 years total experience with at least two years of experience in an analytic role within one or more of the disciplines of Sales, Marketing, Strategy or Finance
Proactive, creative, entrepreneurial and results oriented
Comfortable presenting and engaging with cross-functional teams and executive management.
Able to synthesize many threads of information to generate strategic and financial insight
Minimal travel required.
Bachelors in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
