Description
The Decision Sciences Analyst will be responsible for creating new data driven insights that get productized into the Dotomi Personalization technology service. Success is judged based on the ability to work with business champions to find statistical / heuristic approaches to improving the performance of our personalization message service with a focus on how the machine can take over more of the decisions. Duties range from data extraction, exploration and reporting, to model building and data scripting for production.
Essential Job Functions/Activities:
Work with the business on understanding requirements (10%)
Work with the VP of Decision Sciences to conceptualize analytic approaches (5%)
Explore ?big data? to validate conceptual approaches and make recommendations on specific techniques (10%)
Build out data sets and models for testing and production (40%)
Produce data scripts and codes that can be used in production to automate data modeling and reporting (30%)
Work with the VP on special projects as necessary (5%)
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: Undergraduate in a analytic discipline (math, statistics, business with a heavy analytic curriculum, etc)
Years of Experience: 5 or more
Specific Skills and Abilities:
Strong SQL developer ? preferably in a big data environment
Proficient at conceptualizing and implementing solutions to business problems using machine learning and predictive analytics
Proven ability to work with business to define data-driven solutions to business problems
Experience with development of consumer profiles
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications, etc.: Training in machine learning techniques
