Reviews and analyzes new and pending litigated cases to ensure appropriate handling and minimization of risk. Captures current trends in contested foreclosures. Reports findings and proposes changes/improvements to management.
? Review complaints, answers, motions, and all pleadings filed in contested foreclosures or in third party lawsuits.
? Review accuracy of research and strategy in relation to allegations made in contested foreclosures or by third parties.
? Determine timeliness and appropriateness of case handling following investors? servicing guidelines and regulatory compliance.
? Identify trends and need for changes or improvements in servicing processes.
? Report findings to management with proposed corrective approach, if needed.
? Identify issues with attorneys? performance and report to vendor management team.
? Maintain and update existing management reports.
? Play a lead role in the optimization and automation of reports.
? Manage database to ensure data integrity and documentation of case load.
? Assist manager/lawyers with special projects.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Requirements)
? Independent problem solving.
? Detailed oriented with good analytical skills and experience.
? Proficient research skills.
? Knowledge of litigation processes and procedures.
? High level of written and oral communication skills.
? Proficiency on Word, Excel, and Internet.
? Must have a high level of organization and multi-tasking skills.
? Ability to interact with managers and senior management, and outside legal counsel.
Training and Experience
? High school diploma or equivalent required.
? Undergraduate degree required
? Paralegal certification, or J.D. preferred.
? 3-5 years of experience in litigation required.
? 3-5 years of foreclosure and bankruptcy mortgage servicing experience required.
? 2+ years of courtroom experience is highly preferred.
? 2+ years of quality control preferred.
