The Delivery Support Specialist will be a member of StrongMail?s world class team responsible for working directly with customers to help resolve their deliverability problems in a timely manner. This position will work with customers to help them define and implement best practice email programs that meet their business needs and ultimately improve deliverability. This position will also work with clients through various programs to ensure that they are up and running with the best reputation possible on their StrongMail appliance. Finally this position will also work closely with the Product Marketing team, Product Engineering team and the Manager, Delivery Services to help resolve client specific issues with regard to authentication compliance, reputation programs, non-delivery or junk/spam folder delivery. This position reports to Headquarters in Redwood City, CA.
Responsibilities:
Respond to customer issues based on company SLAs to ensure the timely resolution of customers? issues.
Manage client through various programs to help improve deliverability and reputation.
Educate customers about spam, industry best practices, how to send opt-in emails, and be compliant with local laws around commercial mail.
Work with Product Management to design product features that allow customers to be compliant with local laws.
Stay up to date with industry standards around commercial email.
Demonstrated Skills/Experience:
Excellent communications and customer management skills.
Ability to execute under pressure juggling multiple priorities.
Team player who is comfortable with self-direction.
Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Required Skills/Experience:
Notable experience working with European/APAC ISPs
Understanding of email, and SMTP
Familiarity with how ISPs and organizations handle email
Familiarity with anti-spam organizations such as SpamCop, Spamhaus, and SORBS.
Familiarity with email delivery monitoring tools such as Pivotal Veracity and ReturnPath.
Familiarity with industry standards such as SPF, SenderId, DKIM and DMARC.
Familiarity with local laws such as CAN-SPAM in the United States, and regulations in other countries ? International experience a plus
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
At least three years work experience in a customer facing role.

The Delivery Support Specialists will report to the Manager, Delivery Services.
