JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary of Functions:
To assume responsibility for the demand planning and forecasting functions among the aerospace client base. Employ contemporary demand planning processes and applications to deliver reliable projections of forward demand requirements.
Essential Functions:
Execute the demand planning and forecasting functions by understanding and utilizing New Breed provided demand planning systems and tools.
Ensure compliance to operating procedures as defined in position work instructions.
Ensure customer fulfillment goals are achieved on a consistent basis.
Ensure the compliance with inventory investment objectives.
Coordinate demand planning activities with the Supply Planning, Buying and Customer operations Support Teams to ensure clear and consistent communications along the supply chain.
Achieve established goals for forecast accuracy at the SKU and location level.
Maintain a forecast structure hierarchy in the New Breed forecasting and planning application that enables the presentation of forecasts at multiple levels of detail and for a variety of presentation purposes.
Maintain all demand planning and forecasting parameters within the corporate supply chain applications.
Physical Requirements:
Up to 25% travel required.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Four year degree in Business or Operations management required.
Minimum of 5 years experience in leading complex demand planning activities.
APICS certification or willingness to earn certification required.
Experience in the use of Logility software desired.
Strong data management capability.
Strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities:
Analyze consumption patterns, historical usage, and forecast data for all SKU?s and recommend adjustments to min/max values that optimize inventory while meeting service level KPI?s.
Manage the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.
Review, analyze, and approve incoming Emergent Demand orders and provide direction to buyers on order execution.
Lead the Shortage Management process during periods of limited supply.
