What you?ll do
As a Demand Planner you will update and maintain sales forecasts for assigned customers and/or product classes as well as research and analyze customer fill rates. Through proactive means, the Demand Planner will find ways that will avoid shortages without increasing inventory. Ongoing communication with Sales, Supply Planning, Product Management, Warehouse, and other internal departments is necessary for the success of this role and the business at large.
How you?ll do it
Build and maintain assigned customer forecasts, achieving forecast accuracy goals by customer.
Develop, maintain and own the primary relationship with your assigned customer?s replenishment team.
Work closely with the Customer?s replenishment team to develop forecasts.
Function as the primary expert regarding demand for Belkin products at the assigned customers.
Develop and use statistical forecasts to advise the team responsible for consensus forecasting regarding business assumptions and how various demand events impact sales.
Compare forecasts to financial budgets and be able to explain variances.
Identify and explain channel inventory and forecast risks.
Monitor channel inventory and key customer in-stock levels, and ensure we are meeting customer goals.
Work closely with the Customer?s replenishment team to reduce channel inventory risks and develop plans to increase velocity of any skus identified as risks.
Analyze factors that impact demand for Belkin products (i.e. category trends, promotions and events, competitive products, and seasonality).
What you?ll need
Bachelor degree in Business curriculum, or equivalent experience.
Demand Planning experience, preferably in consumer products or retail industries.
Detail oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Exceptional computer literacy, especially Excel.
Effective communication skills.
Experience with the demand planning and ERP systems.
May need to be located near customer(s).
What you?ve done
Analyze customer?s response to new products and use this to develop forecasts for new items.
Analyze buying patterns of key customers and predict how they will react to promotions and events.
In partnership with the Sales team, use promotion post-audit data to analyze the effectiveness of promotions and advise management.
Work with Sales, Regional Product Management and Supply Planning to identify opportunities for
meeting the demand in the event of capacity constraints.
Support Supply Planning by communicating key issues and risks in the forecast.
Perform all other duties as assigned or required.
Fulfill responsibilities under ISO 9001, understand and fully support ISO system.
