DEMAND SALES DIRECTOR, AGENCY TRADING DESKS The Rubicon Project
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Rubicon Project Demand team is seeking a Sales Director to work with holding company agency trading desks nationwide, based in New York City reporting to our VP of Demand Sales. This opportunity is for a senior contributor to enable holding companies to transform how media is bought and sold at a critical inflection point for real time trading and automation. Primary responsibilities are to project manage across all levels of agency trading teams including strategic partnerships, product, analytics, and operations in order to drive adoption of open market display, private market display, guaranteed sales, and mobile web. A balance of educational and transactional selling skills are preferred, as is experience working with holding companies, operating agencies, and agency trading desks.
A seasoned and aggressive sales producer with experience penetrating and navigating media agencies, preferably agency desks.
A consultative, educational sales approach balanced with assumptive transactional style
Strong interpersonal skills. A charismatic and practical sales leader to earn the respect and relationships of emerging agency workers.
Must understand the needs of our customer category (DSP, ATD) as well as their operating agencies and brands.
Sales process aptitude: activity tracking, pipeline management, and forecasting.
Prior positions to include Director or Senior Account Executive level.
Travel will be required for this role (West Coast, Midwest, East).
3-5 years of advertising network, technology, platform, data, or exchange sales experience required.
Enterprise sales a plus.
