The Rubicon Project is on a mission to automate buying and selling for the $65 billion global online advertising industry. Backed by $60 million in funding, we are currently looking for a RTB Integration and Support Engineer in our Seattle office. You will help integrate new demand partners into Rubicon?s Real Time Bidding (RTB) platform, provide support for existing partners and internal teams, and work on internal tasks essential to the success of the mission. Communication and reliability are two of the most important skills / traits for this position. No two days will be the same!
Responsibilities:
Integrate new Demand Partners into the Rubicon RTB platform
Participate in technical calls and emails with demand partners
Perform functional tests
Perform latency tests
Work with internal teams on live deployments and ramp ups
Monitor partner performance
Provide support to RTB Demand Partners and internal teams
Respond to questions, concerns, information requests
Reach out when needed (notify a partner of errors, etc)
Investigate performance and other issues
Track information on the company wiki
Develop tools and techniques for enhancing testing and support

Required Qualifications:
BS or BA, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with Perl, Java, HTML
Familiarity with HTTP (GET, POST, headers, response codes, viewing traffic, etc)
Working knowledge of Linux commands (vi or similar and basic file manipulation)
Preferred Qualifications:
Graphite experience
PHP experience
Performance testing experience using grinder or similar
Familiarity with online advertising and real time bidding
Traits/Characteristics: This is a dynamic position and there is a lot to learn and contribute. Some days can get extremely busy. Regular work attendance and the ability to adhere to a typical 9 ? 5 schedule with occasional earlier or later hours is extremely important. Weekend work and frequent late nights are not anticipated, however. The successful candidate will be:
