Description
Project Manager/Deployment Lead / Senior Consultant in the Managed Solutions Practice Group ? responsible for managing client engagements involving teams from Project Leadership, third-party vendors, and clients. Projects are focused on deploying/migrating/upgrading technology (Windows 7, Email Migrations, Lync rollouts?) following a defined process in Customer environments. There is a heavy focus on Customer/End User facing activities. Other projects will include IT infrastructure implementations and upgrades, infrastructure assessments, Managed Services, and Business Operations.
Responsibilities:
Deployment Coordination responsible for the following:
o Creating, managing and coordinating a team comprised of Customer employees, PLA employees, third party employees in a positive and ?fun? style
o Creating and managing a deployment schedule that is database driven including:
Communications Plan, Marketing Plan, Training Plan
Hardware/Software upgrade
Application Packaging
Deployment and Go-Live technicians
Other Customer projects that intersect or have dependencies with the deployment project
o Managing issues throughout the project
Technical project management. Must have at least general working knowledge in the following technologies:
o Microsoft PC and Server Technologies
o Exchange & Lync, Telecom
o Enterprise Networking
o PC and Application Deployment/Management
o Deployment/User scheduling/Deployment Process Coordination
o Virtualization , Disaster Recovery, etc.
Lead organizations through project initiation and planning processes; Developing Project Charter, Scope, Budget, Resource Planning, Schedule, Governance
Manage Large Implementation/Upgrade Programs with budgets of $1M or larger
Develop Presales proposal/scope of work
Handle Hardware & software quoting, procurement, tracking and inventorying as needed
Lead and Manage project teams (both internal and client)
Facilitate required status and other meetings with executive level committees, client management, project teams and staff
Change/Issue/Risk Management, Project budget tracking/reporting
Manage projects to closure with high level of client satisfaction with both the process of service delivery and the project results
Develop and ensure consistent documentation deliverables to client
Identify other business opportunities primarily through the creation and delivery of ?High Level Technology Plans? (sales influenced), Network Assessments and updating our CRM and Pipeline.
Manage existing account reviews and new account launches
Experience Requirements:
BA or BS is preferred
10+ Yrs experience in the IT field ? Consulting experience a plus
Strong background in ProjectProgram Management with both Fortune 100 companies and small/mid-sized companies
Experience with upgrading/rolling out of technology (PC OS, Email Migration, Novell to Active Directory, SharePoint)
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project
Proficient in Microsoft Access and SQL is a plus
Proficient in BPOS, OS365, Access is a plus
Good Interpersonal, self-management and communication skills
Strong team building skills
PMP certification a plus
Knowledge of MSF and MOF methodologies
