Design Engineer # 2572Job Description / Responsibilities:
Looking for an individual to provide support to the Application Components group in Lafayette, IN. This individual will provide Pro-E modeling of components that are typically castings or welded structures. In addition to their design responsibilities, this person would be required to have interface with members of the Application Engineering group to understand requirements, and actively resolve issues. Further, this person would be responsible for coordinating the effort of getting drawings detailed for the group. This would require:
1. Assigning the work to one of the preferred companies
2. Following up on the status of the packages. Specifically, who is working on it, how many
hours have been spent, when will the work be completed. Communicate the status on all projects to the
other members of the group.
MinimumQualifications:
BS in engineering or equivalent engine/design/modeling
Min 5 years experience
Skilled in the use of Pro-E
Experienced with castings and/or fabrications experience.
Minimum Education: BSME or BSMET
Required Software: MS Office Suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Lotus Notes, Teamcenter, Pro-E
Min Years Industry Experience: 5 Years
