Description / Responsibilities:
This position
will engage with internal process partners to ensure the design (such as
crankshafts, connecting rods, blocks, heads, valve train, cylinder packs and
related gas/diesel engines components) meet all quality, performance and cost
goals. Through collaboration, this
person will also work closely with suppliers to provide the best value
components for our engines.
Additionally, this role may be active in working with our service teams
to understand how parts perform in the field as an integral part of our design
process. Specific responsibilities will include system level and/or component
level design, requirements management, concurrent product process design
(CPPD), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and validation planning. Candidate will also provide failure analysis
and part evaluation throughout the design process. May require occasional domestic and foreign
travel
Minimum
Qualifications:
Technical
background in engine component or system design
Test, analysis, and simulation with production quality experience
Demonstrated technical writing skills as well as conducted technical presentations in an
engineering environment
Desirable
qualifications: Fundamental knowledge of engines and
engine systems. Cost reduction experience and experience in GD&T, CPPD,
APQP, FMEA, 6 Sigma
Minimum Education:
BSME
Required Software: Pro - E, MS
Office Suite (MSWord, PowerPoint, Excel)
Min Years Industry Experience: 2 Years
