Description:
Responsible for developing and improving thermal and mechanical designs for new and existing heat transfer products.
Principal Responsibilities:
Perform thermal and mechanical design of new and existing heat transfer products.
Consult with Customers to prepare project specifications.
Confer with Management, Sales, Engineering, and Production departments to determine project specifications and procedures.
Prepare cost estimates and project plans for new products.
Create models, drawings, bills of material, and routings for heat exchanger components and assemblies.
Perform mechanical design calculations for pressure vessels and support structures.
Manage prototype projects from initial concepts to final product shipment.
Manage internal and Vendor test plans and oversee testing of new products.
Create manufacturing instructions for new products.
Investigate issues and develop and implement solutions for problems arising during the manufacture of new products.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in relevant work experience required. Masters Degree preferred.
3 years related heat transfer and solid modeling engineering experience required. 5 years of related experience preferred.
Experience in a fabricated metal, product-manufacturing environment required. Hands-on experience preferred.
Solidworks experience preferred.
Computer Programming (C++, BASIC, Matlab) skills preferred.
Finite Element Analysis (FEM) required. (COSMOS preferred.)
High proficiency personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Windows.
Knowledge of vacuum brazing; preferably high temperature.
Product testing experience.
Shop floor interface experience.
Heat exchanger design experience required. Plate and fin heat exchanger experience preferred.
Project Management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment.
Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
Work Schedule:
Hours: From 8:00 AM To 4:30 PM
Days: M-Tu-W-Th-F
Overtime: 5
Overnight Travel: Yes (5%)
