Design Engineer, Thermal and Fluid Components Acumentrics

Responsibilities:
Design and test fluid control components (flowmeters, control valves, blowers, etc) for solid oxide fuel cell generators.
Develop generator piping and instrumentation diagrams
Design fuel, water/steam and air piping systems and develop component specifications.
Design and develop manufacturing processes for recuperators, steam generators, and other heat recovery devices.
Develop and implement cost reduction strategies including finding and working with vendors to obtain low cost components.
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
5+ years related engineering experience
Demonstrated capabilities in fluid flow control and piping system design.
Experience with the design of flow control components.
Strong educational background in fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
3D CAD experience (Solidworks preferred)
Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written.
Desired: High volume component manufacturing experience.
Experience in the design of combined heat and power energy systems.
Experience in the design of fans and blowers.
