THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The person in this role will be responsible for working directly with internal and external customers to provide day-to-day technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems in order to diagnose and resolve basic to complex problems.
Provide on-going desktop support for 150+ workstations and end user devices with minimal direction
Provide support to both local and remote users via desk-side visits and over the phone interactions
Provide input and recommendations for departmental process and procedures
Stay abreast of new technology and makes recommendations that provide continuous improvement to technical solutions
Assist in the research, testing, recommendation, and deployment of new desktop technologies
Produce well-written technical and business documentation
Equipment documentation and inventory control
Support Infrastructure systems, applications, andor devices
2+ yrs. Desktop Support experience within a Windows environments
Experience troubleshooting desktop issues such as printer connectivity, and peripheral functionality
Experience supporting Blackberry mobile devices
Strong knowledge of and previous work experience with Microsoft Windows 7/XP Professional and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business
Knowledge of and previous work experience with networking, including Ethernet,
TCP/IP, IPSEC, VPN, DNS, DHCP
Knowledge and experience in W2003/W2008 server administration including Active Directory is beneficial. Knowledge and experience with System Management Servers is beneficial.
Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Exchange administration is a plus.
Experience with network troubleshooting is a plus
