This is an opportunity to join a small software company with a national presence rapidly growing in the Bedford, MA area. We are looking for qualified IT people comfortable working in a fast paced, growing startup organization who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.
This position will perform varied technical support for internal users, day-to-day systems administration tasks and project-oriented work as needed.
Duties include: Building, troubleshooting and repairing computer systems, upgrading or replacing hardware, and installation of software applications; answering and responding to user support calls, resolving problems in a timely fashion.
The successful candidate will have experience working with PC/Apple hardware, software, networking (including remote access and wireless connectivity). Candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical personnel in a customer service oriented role.
Must be proficient using the following technologies: MS Windows 7, imaging systems like MS WSUS or Ghost.
Familiarity with: Kaseya IT Management solution, MS Windows Server 2008 Standard OS, Cisco AnyConnect VPN connectivity, McAfee ePO and VirusScan and Disk Encryption is desired. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations a plus.
This position is a hands-on position that requires the ability to lift and move workstations monitors and crawl under tables and desks. located onsite in Bedford, MA.
?Hardware/Software installations, including upgrades, re-imaging laptops and desktops
Creating archive images of desktops, tracking inventory and redeploying used equipment
First level technical support for Laptops, Desktops, Mobile Devices.
Creating Active Directory user accounts, mailboxes
Develop and document specific technical processes
Required Technical skills
Strong experience supporting Microsoft OS products: Windows XP/7/8
Strong competency of imaging tools (WDS, SysPrep, Ghost)
Experience supporting MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Project, Outlook)
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange, print servers
Desired skills (not required)
Exposure to McAfee ePO, VirusScan Enterprise, Endpoint Encryption
Apple iOS devices, Cisco AnyConnect VPN Software
Kaseya IT Management solution
Basic knowledge of VMware vSphere client and MS-SQL 2005, 2008
Symantec Backup Exec
Basic understanding of networks, TCP/IP, CAT5 patch cabling.
MCSE certification is a plus
AS degree, prefer Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
