Desktop Support Specialist Palo Alto Networks

Provide user helpdesk/desktop support for Palo Alto Networks. This will include, but is not limited to, troubleshooting PC hardware and software issues and end user support. This person must be able to work in an extremely fast paced and dynamic startup environment, have a positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide IT support services for all Palo Alto Networks' employees
- Document, resolve, and /or escalate issues in a timely and appropriate manner to higher level staff
- Responsible for all aspects of user setup, user accounts, system patching, antivirus, system imaging, mobile services, video conference, printers/copiers/phone systems and general company hardware/software.
- Track and maintain IT hardware and software inventory
- Tape backup/restore/rotation
- Provide before and /or after hours and weekend on-call support if needed.
Requirements:
- Maintain productive and professional relationship with users and IT customers. Strong “service oriented mentality†a must. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and willingness to learn and cross train with other IT staff members.
- Hands on experience supporting computer based systems and peripherals
- Recent hands-on technical experience with Windows XP, Windows 7, Microsoft Office applications, system imaging, vpn software, mobile devices and supporting remote staff.
Not required, but a plus:
- Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange, Other enterprise applications
- Linux, Shoretel phones, Mac
