Seeking a talented DevOps/Systems Database Administrator with a passion for building and running scalable systems. The DevOps/Systems Database Administrator will join a fast-growing development team applying web technologies to advance the fashion e-commerce industry. The Dev Ops/Systems Administrator will have a mix of development and administrative skills, demonstrating a proven ability to scale and maintain systems.
DevOps/Systems Database Administrator Description:
Work close with a cross functional team of product managers and developers to build scalable systems.
Maintain the health, stability and security of the companies growing development and production clusters.
Act as a technical point of contact for testing and benchmarking current and future releases of new database software and related technologies.
Responsible for the administration, performance, tuning and maintenance of production and development MongoDB databases.
Provide input and execute security and deployment practices, scaling and metrics, and run daily server management.
DevOps/Systems Database Administrator Requirements / Qualifications / Personal Attributes:
2 years of systems/develops experience working with a fast-paced web technology environment.
Experience with Chef or Puppet.
Familiar with applications/software products and tools for monitoring, diagnosing, and troubleshooting network and server issues.
Experience with Amazon Web Services required.
Experience with multi-region, high availability web applications.
Experience with MongoDB administration.
Experience with sharding and replica sets.
Managing development, staging and production environments.
GIT experience required.
Familiarity with node and NPM.
Experience with server monitoring software such as Boundary.
Knowledge of server security best practices a plus.
Continuous integration experience a plus.
Education: BA / BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience
