Job Description
Responsible for performing changes of medium complexity level to software systems in order to fix bugs in the implementation and create extensions to existing programs to add new features or improve performance. Designs and develops major functional and performance enhancements for the existing products.
The job responsibilities include
Completes assigned tasks, working toward achieving the objectives
Helps others to improve efficiently
Team player
Analyzes compilation errors and determines automation alternatives
Fixes complex errors
Implements migration processes continuously, including the merge process
Applies or executes manual customizations required by the customer
Identifies opportunities for automation in the migrated code
Reviews and validates the correct application of the automatic customizations
Sets up the migrated application to make it run
Executes test cases provided by the customer and performs manual changes required for the system to run properly
Interacts with customers to solve specific technical problems
Identifies global issues in the project and best solution alternatives
Addresses all reported defects (internally or externally), including validation, interaction with respective Tester and implementation of manual changes implementation for correction
The ideal candidate
We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish), self-sufficient developer with a bachelor?s degree in systems engineering and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in software development positions and, ideally, at least 3 years? experience in migration projects. Knowledge in the following technologies: .NET framework, ASP.NET, C#.NET, VB6, VB.NET, COM/COM+, Windows Forms, and Java/J2EE (desirable).
