Developer/Analyst - Content Management Systems and PortalsGuidewire has portal applications for internal, customer, and partner use, and IT maintains these systems. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining content management and portal applications that support both internal and external users and provide professional services on major collaborative projects. You will oversee and participate in the architectural design, development, customization and integration efforts of solutions involving Collaboration, Portals, Content Management, Business Process and Forms. In addition, you will also provide technical advice to internal customers. Working closely with other IT functions and business stakeholders, you will provide strategic and operational direction and oversight to the implementation of the company extranet.
Job Description- Manage and maintain internal and external knowledge management solutions, including document and content management systems and portal applications.
- Design integration solutions between internal and external components to streamline collaboration and improve usability.
- Research, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve user issues related to application use, design and configuration.
- Work closely with teams to understand business requirements and translate those to processes and sol utions.
- Create and manage user permissions, roles, and security and configuration changes.
- Develop pages, widgets, templates, and workflow for content authoring using PHP, JavaScript, CSS and various web technologies as appropriate.
- Work with vendor and internal staff to manage integration, security and backups.
- Participate in the definition, evaluation and implementation of upgrades and changes.
- Create and maintain technical and training documentation. Provide user training.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, engineering or equivalent. An advance degree in engineering, business or Information Technology is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in designing and supporting content management, portals and collaborative solutions, with 3 years in J2EE environment, PHP and Web Development, using CRM tools like RightNow and Salesforce.com, and using CMS tools such as Drupal, Joomla, Vignette, OpenText, Inquira, etc.
- Full knowledge of SDLC methodologies from analysis through design, build, test and deployment.
- Strong problem solving skills: able to logically break down a problem into smaller manageable parts to solve.
- The position requires the ability to communicate fluently with business users, technical people and management across the organization in a fast paced changing environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and make decisions with limited information.
Desirable experience:
- Demonstrated experience in Enterprise Information Architecture and data modeling, Taxonomy and Metadata Management, Database Administration and Data Archiving. Document and Records Management. Workflows, Events, Application Management, Search, Security and Authentication. Libraries and Views, User & Group permissions. Discussion Boards, Wiki and Blog Sites.
