About the position:
Real-User Monitoring is a brand-new feature for analyzing the performance of your web app from the perspective of the web browser. Here are some of the problems you could help us solve:
How can we understand, and help our users understand, the performance of their web app across browsers, devices, pages, and geographies?
How can we automatically find the patterns that make an app slow, using statistics and machine learning?
You are a solid, creative, up-and-coming software engineer. You've taken hard classes and worked on projects outside class because you love building software. You want to learn from smart people, solve interesting problems, and see your code running on tens of thousands of computers. You try to understand your users so you can make their lives better.
Our interns are long-term investments, so we are not looking for specialized skills. You should be decent on the command-line, intimately familiar with a modern programming language, and you should either know Java or be willing to learn it before you start. You should be interested in what we do and eager to learn more.
