Developer Sales Operations Associate Blu homes
Blu Homes is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Developer Sales Operations Associate, based in Blu?s downtown San Francisco office. The new Developer Sales Operations Associate will work with the Northern California Developer Sales team to close new business, design innovative processes and technology tools, and manage our growing customer base through the single family home design and purchasing process. The Bay Area is Blu?s largest and growing market and the new hire will have the opportunity to work with some of our top sales people to successfully achieve high growth in 2013 and beyond!
Blu Homes is a fast growing innovative technology startup aiming to change landscape of the housing market with best-in-class precision built green houses. Using a uniquely integrated business model, and deeply proprietary information and building science technology, Blu empowers homeowners to design their homes with a free online 3-D configurator. The houses then are built in a Blu factory using a proprietary steel framing system that offers unique beauty, environmental performance and strength, delivered to sites nationwide, and finished by Blu teams. Ultimately, Blu?s mission is to provide home buyers and institutions worldwide with green buildings that are high quality, healthy, beautiful, and economical.
Candidates should embrace technology and be sharp, mature, down to earth, fun, good communicators, high energy, have a ?sense of urgency?, and excitement and understanding of startup culture. Applicants with an interest and understanding of the real estate development industry are preferred.
Key responsibilities:
Working directly with national clients to specify and execute single family development projects;
Achieving expert status on a range of technical and production information related to Blu homes, including but not limited to energy efficiency systems, materials & finishes and operational processes;
Travel on regional sales calls, with occasional travel to Vallejo, CA, manufacturing facility;
Working with the Sales Operations leadership team to define and implement internal processes and new technology tools for our growing sales team;
Supporting Northern California Developer Sales Consultants with client documentation management, contract pricing and estimating, design requirements and home specification choices;
Key requirements:
Interest in Real Estate industry with knowledge of finance, development, and design;
Self-confidence and poise in working with clients and outside groups;
Strong work ethic and ability to multitask and juggle multiple priorities in a quickly evolving environment;
Sense of urgency and ownership; self-motivated to take on new challenges;
Ability to travel for regional sales calls and events;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
Interest and proclivity for learning technical information about Blu?s proprietary technology; Digital native; comfortable using new computer applications and proficiency in Microsoft Office;
Experience either through work or school in financial modeling and construction cost budgeting with Microsoft Excel
Enthusiastic about collaborating to grow sales at a high tech green home startup;
Ability to ?scale? with company and an interest in long-term career opportunities at Blu.
Analytical, organized, and pragmatic approach with focus on attention to detail;
Experience:
1-3 years working experience; background or focus in residential or commercial real estate preferred;
Minimum bachelor?s degree.
