Developer Support Specialist Telerik
We are currently seeking a detail oriented Developer Support Specialist to work in our Waltham, MA office. The Developer Support Specialist will communicate directly with customers as well as serve as a technical resource for members of the sales team by addressing clients complex technical inquiries.
Relying on your background with ASP.NET Technologies and past experiences in client facing roles, your main duty will be to provide timely support to customers and members of the sales team through our online ticketing system, email, or over the phone. You will need to analyze, track and resolve customers technical problems in a considerate and professional manner, and communicate closely with the appropriate development team.
The ideal candidate will be able to quickly solve problems that involve a broad range of technical skills with an emphasis on .NET essentials and an in-depth knowledge of Teleriks products. Not all problems will be technically challenging, but all will require the highest level of customer skill. You will be dealing mainly with developers and should be comfortable speaking with them on highly technical topics.
Quickly become an expert in Telerik products and stay knowledgeable about product roadmaps and future enhancements
Stay current with changes and new offerings in Microsoft developer community
Work with client development projects to assess problems and suggest appropriate corrective measures
Make positive contribution to Teleriks support team and help to maintain Teleriks exemplary support reputation
Use your knowledge of Telerik products to answer assigned support issues
Log bugs and feature requests
Propose ideas for Knowledge Base articles and contribute technical content
Research competing products and produce insightful competitive information for the marketing team
A degree in CS or related field
Proficiency of the .NET platform and/or prior programming knowledge in HTML, ASP, ASP.NET (C, VB.NET)
Knowledge of emerging Microsoft technologies such as Silverlight, WPF, MVC
Excellent communication skills: listening, written and verbal
Exceptional problem-solving skills
Willingness to learn new technologies and a desire to improve technical skills
Previous background in a technical customer-oriented job will be considered highly advantageous, but is not required
Technical writing skills are a big plus, but are not required
Must possess the ability to work with minimal supervision, independently and as part of the team.
