Development Lead, Data Integration Zillow
We are currently looking for a Development Lead to join our growing engineering team and manage a group dedicated to building faster and more powerful data integration systems. As we continue to grow and expand our service, we have large and challenging engineering problems to solve.Zillow.com has been transforming the real-estate industry by providing home owners, home buyers, and home sellers access to powerful online services which make it easier to find information related to homes, neighborhoods, and cities.
These services are fueled by large, fast-flowing data streams
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience leading a development team and a track record of building large-scale data management software.
In addition to managing the team, you will be expected to spend a significant amount of time participating in the design and implementation of the team?s products and services. If you want to be a part of this adventure and lead this team, you should apply.
Requirements include:
5+ years of experience building high-volume, server-side services using Java, C++, C#, or other OO languages
2+ years of direct employee management experience, including hiring and performance management
Experience managing software projects using agile development methodologies such as Scrum
BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline
At least two years of experience with relational databases, preferably experience with Microsoft SQL Server
The ability to create a dynamic, collaborative and fun team environment
Experience with performance measuring and engineering for highly scaled, distributed systems
