Development Manager - Client Team Devicescape Software

We are seeking an experienced development manager to lead our Client Realization Team. This group is responsible for developing shrink-wrapped consumer applications based on the Devicescape Easy WiFi platform both as Devicescape branded products, and also for Devicescapes customers and partners.
Details of Responsibilities:

The successful candidate is responsible for managing the mobile client development team. This position requires team management skills, and also extensive experience developing consumer-ready mobile applications. Read again: this position requires mobile application experience with heavily UI based apps - examples would be Facebook, Yelp, Foursquare etc. The candidate should have a thorough knowledge of user-experience development through the use of formal processes such as use-cases. Experience with Agile development also preferred.

In addition to the in-house development team, the development manager will be required to manage concurrent outsourced development projects in order to scale the team quickly. As a result, experience with managing contract engineering, for example oDesk, is required.

Platform knowledge developing for iPhone, Android, Nokia Symbian S60 and Windows Phone is also required (although Android is the priority platform).

A director level title will be considered based on the candidates experience.
Required experience and knowledge:

- Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Development Manager in a related space
- A history of developing and launching successful software products, and a track record of success at previous companies
- Experience with flexible product development life-cycles
- Experience with managing out-sourced contract engineering projects
- Extensive experience developing consumer mobile applications required no exceptions
- Leadership and initiative to get multiple tasks completed independently
- Excellent written and verbal skills, and the ability to present and interact with customers and partners
- Solid technical background, with an understanding of Wi-Fi, mobile communication and mobile platforms.
- Desire to work in a small startup environment and take on multiple responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred).
