Job description
Ideal candidate will have good management skills, leader ship and team building skills, This person should be technically strong and drive business requirements into technical solutions. Expected distribution of time on activities is 70% technical and 30% project management. He or She should be able to manage multiple priorities. Should have good verbal and written communication skills.
This person should have managed a team of 5-10 engineers. He / She should have a proven record of delivering project on time with high quality. Must have experience in project management in a product development company. Knowledge of agile software development is a plus.
Skills:
- Extensive experience working with Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL and Data Warehousing
- Good experience working with Big Data Technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, Hive
- Extensive experience with Enterprise Java and Web-based Application Architecture and Design
- Experience with Reporting Software such as Open Reports, Jasper Reports
- Experience with Extracts Transformation and Loading (ETL) Infrastructure such as Pentaho Kettle
- Demonstrable excellence in innovation, problem solving, analytical skills, data structures and design patterns
- Ability to recruit, retain, motivate a talented team
- Ability to research and document options and opportunities to solve business needs and assess the feasibility and risk associated with proposed solutions
- Experience in refactoring and re-engineering of large enterprise systems and good understanding of functional aspects
