Responsibilities
We are constantly looking to add to our AMAZING team! Presently, we are in search of DEVELOPMENT MANAGERS! Our development managers are responsible for building teams of developers who will be designing the next generation of data-base driven, web software products in an Agile Scrum environment. Schoolnet?s applications are large, scalable, multi-tier enterprise applications developed entirely on the .NET platform. Successful candidates must have a full understanding of the tools, platforms and techniques used to develop world-class products.
What you?ll be doing?
Hiring and training a team of world-class developers
Ensuring the timeliness and quality of software deliverables
Facilitating communication between teams, including status and technical information (architecture, design and implementation objectives)
Designing new software products for robustness and scalability
Coordinating with multiple agile scrum teams to help plan, scope, and develop new product capabilities
Developing Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions
Planning the refactoring and rearchitecting of existing software
Writing and facilitates documentation for internal and external consumers covering design artifacts, code, and fixes for use during the software production cycle and as a reference for the final product
Insuring unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews are completed for functionality, performance, and coverage to insure quality, assess team member skills, and insure compliance with standards and best practices.
Qualifications
What we?re looking for?
at least 3+ years? experience managing teams of software developers
7+ years? experience architecting and programming multi-tier ASP.NET applications in C#
BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience; Advanced degree a plus
Experience with software design patterns such as IoC and SOA
Experience building SaaS applications, packages software (COTS) applications, and cloud applications
Ability to evaluate performance of individual engineers and as a team, and prescribe appropriate remedies for issues
Ability to lead design sessions and participate in architecture and code reviews
Strong experience with data access technologies including LINQ and SQL
Strong experience with web technologies including JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX
Strong written and verbal communication skills
