DEVELOPMENT OPERATIONS ENGINEER CradlePoint
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED CradlePoint is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and experienced individual to join us as a Dev Ops Engineer. This position is part of our newly developing Infrastructure Operations group which will be responsible for implementation and support of our SaaS based device configuration and management platforms. A strong Systems Administrator background with scripting and software engineering experience is key to being successful in this position.
The Dev Ops Engineer will be responsible for automating the release, deployment and management of customer-facing products from development through production.? This position's primary focus will be working collaboratively with developers and QA engineers to architect and build automated provisioning, configuration management, and service orchestration systems within internal corporate and public cloud environments.? As a key member of the Operations team, the Dev Ops Engineer will have the opportunity to work in-depth with cutting-edge technologies.?

Provide direct and indirect support for resolution of customer and internal issues.
Deploy new product releases and upgrades.
Administer internal systems and cloud service ? hardware and software.
Create and maintain scripts and applications to automate repetitive tasks.
Work closely with SaaS developers to automate maintenance tasks, upgrade tasks, and product releases.
Lead on-call technical support for SaaS solutions.
Proficient working in a Linux environment.
Expertise with configuration management tools (i.e. Chef).
Monitoring expertise with Nagios or similar tool(s).
Experience using JSON, NGINX, Python, shell scripts.
Experience configuring firewalls, load balancers, web servers, and SQL databases.
Experience with version control systems like hg or git.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Ability to respond quickly and accurately to diverse requests.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Committed to developing and documenting processes, and support related activities.
Solid understanding of IT operations best practices.
Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple priorities.
Experience with SaaS hosting platforms.
Experience with configuration management using Puppet or Chef.
Understanding of service-oriented architecture.
Experience working with cloud technology such as: Rackspace, EC2, S3, AWS, etc.
Understanding of networking technologies and protocols, as well as network and application security.
Experience configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting deployments of the following applications; nginx, gunicorn, Django, MySQL, PosgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, fab (or some automated deployment framework).
Experience managing MySQL clusters and/or replication, and an understanding of the tradeoffs between the various approaches to high availability and redundancy in database deployment.
Experience managing multi-site deployments.
BS in Computer Science or related field, or comparable experience.
