Development - Software Analyst Foxfire Printing and Packaging, Inc.

Background: We are currently looking for an experienced IT programmer that will be responsible for developing digital print production and customer interface systems, data mining, developing custom business reports, managing technology vendor relationships, and related project management.

Description: Responsibilities will include:
Hands-on execution programming in support of new production systems development.
Create formal technology designs and evaluate and recommend architecture to support production workflow.
Create systems test plans and scripts, execute formal systems testing, and support end-user testing.
Support formal requirements gathering and interact with customers to clarify requirements.
Project-manage outside resources in the development of new production systems.
Provide hands-on operational support for production digital print press hardware, networks, and software covering digital presses.
Develop a strong working knowledge of Foxfires IT print workflow and proprietary RapidSign software system. Includes daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Provide day-to-day support to production team, resolving workflow, customer, and file management issues.
Work closely with vendor technical support services to ensure high quality production, resolving processing issues, color management issues, and related technical issues beyond the scope of Digital Managers.
Develop and implement data mining and business intelligence reports to support production and senior management in executing business objectives. Work with existing ERP application to pull custom reporting in areas covering inventory, labor, materials, costing accounting, and overall financial data.


Responsibilities: Successful candidates will possess:
A minimum of a BA, BS in Computer Science or equivalent, MS preferred, with a minimum of 5 years development and programming experience in required technologies across projects and operations
At least 2 years of experience in systems administration role.
Demonstrated hands on programming and platform expertise in most of the following technologies is required: Microsoft .NET, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML
Experience in developing business intelligence reports and data mining. Experience with Progress and Monarch/Hagen MRP systems a plus. Experience with SQL Reporting Studio a plus
Working knowledge of underlying database technology, Microsoft based infrastructure and operating systems desired. Experience in shared services, open architecture web-services, and component architecture desirable. Experience in user interface look and feel desired.
Excellent communication, IT partnering, business savvy, process centric, people and writing skills, strong debugging skills required.
Ideal candidate must possess strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
