We are seeking a Device Design Engineer for product and technology development programs in the area of III-V semiconductor optoelectronic devices. Key expectations for this position include: the solution of complex technical challenges related to the design and development of optoelectronic devices; the ability to meet critical performance, schedule, and cost requirements; and a constant focus on understanding and delivering on customer expectations. The ability to work in teams and lead project activities is critical, as is a high degree of independence and innovation. Ideal candidates will have the following technical skills:
design, simulation, and performance analysis pertaining to InP-based photodetectors
superb experimental skills related to optoelectronic device characterization
a thorough knowledge of the technical literature on optoelectronic devices
a solid understanding of optical design, semiconductor device fabrication, and optoelectronic packaging is also highly desirable
This position requires an advanced degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field; a minimum of 3 years of experience in III-V semiconductor device design; and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency status is required to work on Export Control Technologies.
