Device Integration Engineer
Lead development and introduction of new GaN-based LED chips to manufacturing for general illumination applications.
â€¢ Independently design and develop new GaN-based LED chip structures with good performance which can be manufactured in volume with high yield.
â€¢ Design and layout photo-masks with CAD software.
â€¢ Define product and test specifications of LED chip products.
â€¢ Conduct device characterization and testing. Analyze characterization data with software packages such as JMP.
â€¢ Work with cross functional team within the company and with contract manufacturers and drive development and introduction of new GaN-based LED chips to mass production.
â€¢ Responsible for analyzing and monitoring chip performance data.
â€¢ Audit contract manufacturers and other manufacturing partners' quality systems.
â€¢ Coordinate qualification of new LED chips into Bridgelux packaged products.
â€¢ Write project reports and make comprehensive project review presentations.
â€¢ Education: Master or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics or a similar technical field.
â€¢ Experience in optoelectronic device, in particular GaN based LED chip is preferred.
â€¢ Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
â€¢ Thorough knowledge of LED device physics, fabrication, testing and packaging.
â€¢ Positive inter-personal skills necessary to support cross-functional teams.
â€¢ Excellent project management skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills.
â€¢ Demonstrated experience with new product introduction is desirable.
