DevOps Engineer Guardian Analytics

Member of Operations team managing all aspects of our secure Software as a Service (SaaS) infrastructure and application environments. This position will work closely with Engineering and Professional Services teams to deploy new application releases and integrate customers into our SaaS platform while developing processes, tools and operational metrics to improve system and process performance, scalability, functionality, and security.Responsibilities
Deploy and maintain product releases and customer?configurations
Design, maintain and scale Guardian Analytics SaaS infrastructure
Develop scripts, metrics, and applications to automate and improve operational processes and availability, scaling, and security of the production environment.
Build and maintain development, management and monitoring systems.
Part of team providing 24x7 production support for applications and infrastructure (participate in weekly on-call rotation)
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have a broad technical background, ability to develop scripts, excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and a strong commitment to delivering quality solutions.
Technical Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar major or equivalent experience.
3-5 years operational experience managing critical tools and infrastructure
Expert level UN-X system administration skills (i.e. Linux and Solaris)
Strong scripting expertise (BASH, Perl, etc.)
Experience with tools for system and environment monitoring (e.g. Nagios) and configuration management (e.g. Puppet)
Understanding of source code control systems; experience with subversion (SVN) a plus
Proficient in MySQL support (replication, grants, operational procedures)
Familiarity with Java/JVM performance tuning
Knowledgeable in security fundamentals, including encryption, certificates, etc.
Other Skills
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across teams and skill levels
Experience developing, tracking and leveraging performance metrics for continual improvement
Attention to detail is essential
