As our technology team evolves, we are looking to add a DevOps System Administrator to manage the company?s internal production systems. It is critical that this individual ensures all internal systems are optimally performing and issues are resolved quickly. Not only will this person build a world-class system infrastructure that will support the vision of the company?s future, they will also automate solutions and implement system enhancements to improve overall effectiveness.
Manage the company production systems
Responsible for monitoring and responding to alerts issued
Secure and protect the network infrastructure and network resources from unauthorized access
Review and proactively update system configuration based on the needs of the infrastructure and provide recommendations on ways to improve
Partner with the Engineering team to design, build and deploy new systems
Automate deployment processes using puppet
Be available for on-call support
Be a role model and representative of the Undertone culture both internally and externally
Profile and Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of Linux system administration experience
Bachelor?s Degree required
Knowledge of scripting languages: Bash, Ruby, Perl
Database administration with at least one of the following: MySQL, PostgreSQL or Oracle
Data warehousing experience a plus: Teradata, Vertica or Greenplum
Network device administration: load balancers, firewalls, routers, etc.
Experience with Puppet/Chef and Hadoop
Exposure to cloud environments, AWS and VMware administration
Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, problem recognition, and problem resolution skills
