The Sr. Manager, Member Acquisition will be part of the team responsible for the development, implementation and management of all aspects of Zipcar?s member acquisition strategies. In this position, you will manage a large scale digital acquisition program and implement member acquisition strategies to drive a quality audience to conversion and optimal ROI.
The ideal Zipster for this role will be a self-driven, go-getter who is creative, curious and analytical. We?re looking for a very sharp and self-motivated achiever who combines a deep interest in business and passion for data-driven decision-making; with demonstrated strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail. This position will contribute at a very high-level but must also be comfortable rolling up his/her sleeves and being in the weeds.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Co-create and drive the company's growth plan for acquiring members
Create and execute highly-effective advertising, marketing and multi-platform online strategies to maximize new member growth
Manage and optimize ongoing online media plans while also sourcing, evaluating, and testing new user acquisition channels
Devise targeting logic, regularly testing various changes to incentives, creative, offers, messaging, etc.
Develop and implement consistent measurement strategies across marketing programs (e.g., pixeling, UTM codes); troubleshoot solutions to support consistency
Obsessively monitor and report on performance using a third-party ad server/analytics tools to optimize and address any tracking/performance issues; Provide reporting updates ensuring all recommendations and resulting actions are identified
Optimize attribution modeling methodologies and linking different acquisition channels to tiered lifetime value member segments
Oversee and manage annual media budget process; maintain oversight of marketing spend vs. budget monthly and quarterly
Complete assignments on time with high quality and high accuracy.
Strong, demonstrated understanding of marketing approaches to customer acquisition
Advanced experience in digital campaign management; Expert in key online marketing channels: Display, SEM/SEO, Social Media, Retargeting, and Affiliate
Advanced knowledge and experience in digital media buying through DSP/DMP tools; ability to drive digital media buying strategies and segmentation via a combination of historical results, audience data and other insights.
Experience working with multi-channel attribution models & reporting
Rigorous testing methodology that drives continuous improvement
Ability to operate at tactical level while taking a strategic viewpoint
Experience managing vendor relationships and rolling out online media plans
Strong analytical skills, business acumen and the ability to analyze data to spot important trends and opportunities; Strong aptitude for developing and aligning meaningful metrics to initiatives and ideas
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast changing environment with a strong attention to detail, communicate effectively and work well in a cross functional environment
Ability to identify, prioritize and efficiently manage time to focus on critical tasks
Advanced proficiency with standard business software (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Requirements & Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a data-driven digital marketing environment; membership acquisition marketing experience strongly preferred
Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred, quantitative background preferred
