Overview:
iCrossing, a leading search digital marketing agency, is searching for a motivated individual to join our SF Digital Media team as a Media Planner.
The Media Planner builds on the skills of the Junior Media Planner and continues to perform those duties as necessary. The position evolves to include specific responsibilities for management of increasingly complex accounts, direction of Assistant Media Planner, development of Objectives and Strategies and quality control.

Media Skills
Reviews media brief and sets planning process in motion
Directs assistant media planner in research required for planning process
Directs and assists assistant media planner throughout RFP process
Engages and works with Analytics team for any tagging/reporting requirements
Filters research findings and converts to actionable media insights
Develops media objectives and strategy document based on client brief and proposed media solutions
Reviews RFPs and filters for most suitable proposals
Master of media math and how to apply calculations; proficiency in working with and managing numbers
Develops initial plans for more complex clients
Manages negotiation for plan rates and packages
Manages negotiation for research impression requirements, if needed
Supports the needs of Media Supervisor and/or AMD
Ensures Client Media Authorizations are completed and signed
Ensures accuracy and quality of all campaign documentation including insertion orders, trafficking sheets and terms
Presents plans to Ad Ops and Reporting teams to ensure thorough understanding of Media?s needs
Stewards media buys in market to assure continuity and campaign delivery
Proposes optimization recommendations, in partnership with Analytics if necessary
Project Management
Create and maintain detailed/accurate files for each client for whom you are responsible
Demonstrates highly organized campaign/timeline management, with strong attention to detail
Assists in the QA of ads placed
Communication Skills
Ability to communicate owned areas of campaigns, both orally and in writing
Active participant in sales representative meetings
Evolves relationships with sales community
Client Management
Attends client meetings, and presents plan elements
On point to liaise between client, project management, and analytics/trafficking
Teamwork/People/Corporate Citizenship
Positively participates in team environment
Gives and receives critical feedback gracefully
Builds relationships with relevant partners in agency
Positive spokesperson for the agency
Flexible and adaptable to changing needs of client/department/agency
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience
2.5 - 5 years of experience in field of online advertising, preferably in an Assistant or Junior Media Planner role
Experience working specifically within a digital media department
Passion for digital marketing
Detail oriented and organized
Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and with general Web based interfaces
Experience working with DART for Advertisers or other relevant 3rd party adserver
