We are looking for a driven, energetic, and independent digital media expert to grow our media business. This position works with our business development and account management teams to sell digital media supporting promotions, loyalty, CRM, and other client campaigns. In addition, the Digital Media Sales Supervisor will be responsible for managing a Media Planner and Media Analyst to deliver value and expertise to our clients. This role will work on a diverse set of accounts and help build a media practice to complement our existing product and service offerings. Overall, we are looking for a passionate digital marketer who can help us grow the media product line as well as other areas of our business by leveraging their experience, willingness to continually learn, and passion for driving results for our clients.
Description and Responsibilities:
Own the growth of the media business through working with our business development and account management teams to identify sales opportunities, pitch compelling strategies, and close deals.
Develop appropriate media training for internal teams from the account side to producers to those implementing tracking pixels.
Maintain all aspects media deals for assigned accounts, including billing issues, budget revisions, flowchart updating, competitive analyses, and post buy analysis.
Act as a liaison with creative and production teams to manage deliverables.
Manage a Media Planner and Media Analyst, whose responsibilities include:
Researching and developing media plans, as well as identifying target audiences and ideal media outlets.
Negotiating, scheduling, and buying of the appropriate media for each opportunity.
Facebook ad buys.
Utilizing web-based reports and other reporting tools to generate data and analyze campaign performance, while providing recommendations for improvement.
Develop and fosters strong relationships with vendors, publishers and clients.
Stay apprised of industry standards, new media programs.
Job Specifications and Competencies:
Bachelor of Science in Business or related work experience required
Minimum 4 years of experience planning, buying, or selling digital media
Strong leadership, mentoring, and management skills
Deep working knowledge of ad servers/reporting functions
Deep working knowledge of ad measurement and traffic tools
Must have the ability to recognize inconsistencies in data, identify potential reporting errors, and troubleshoot
Experience using Web-based analytics tools (Google Analytics, Urchin), with the ability to extract data and create reports
Experience analyzing results of projects and making recommendations for next steps
Strong understanding quantitative analysis and comfortable working with large amounts of data
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office suite
Effectively prioritize and manage a variety of projects with a high level of attention to detail
Excellent presentation, written/verbal communication, and client-facing skills
