iCrossing, a leading digital marketing agency, is searching for a motivated individual to join our Digital Media team as a Media Supervisor in our New York office.
The Media Supervisor is responsible for managing all day-to-day digital media strategy, planning/buying activity for assigned account(s). This person provides media recommendations and offers resourceful problem-solving both internally and externally while developing and maintaining strong client relationships. S/he collaborates with Client Services, trading desk and other digital channels (SEM, SEO & Mobile and Social) in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Must be expert at analyzing data, thinking creatively and coming up with innovative new media strategies to ensure display campaigns reach the right target audience at the right time in the most effective and efficient way.
S/he leads by example while motivating and coaching a team of Planners and/or Assistants.
Oversees the media planning process from beginning through final delivery
Works closely with the Trading Desk to deliver, implement and optimize RTB media
Engages with Analytics team to develop tagging/reporting strategy, and report on campaign effectiveness
Finalizes and presents Media Objectives and Strategy documents to client
Reviews RFPs and approves partners selected for final plan
Manages negotiations for high value and/or complex media packages
Participate and supports AMD/Media Director in new business
Responsible for Client Media Authorization documentation
Develop strong relationships with clients and media owners.
Manage the flow of client media-related issues - create solutions and resolve problems.
Establish and grow a strong relationship with the client through a demonstration of industry knowledge and of the client?s basic business issues.
Allocate budgets across media channels to meet client objectives.
Maximize spends to meet or beat client cost and volume targets.
Look to improve your clients? accountability and ensuring that client data is sought out, reviewed and used comprehensively.
Continually consider new initiatives and tests.
Train and develop a team of planners and assistants.
Demonstrates highly organized campaign/timeline management, with strong attention to detail
Work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines under pressure
Ability to direct and appropriately delegate tasks to Media Planner(s) and Assistant Planner(s) effectively
Active participant in sales representative meetings
Evolves relationships with sales community
Demonstrates ability to confidently present and rationalize media plans to clients
Attends client meetings, and presents media strategy
Manages client inquiries and feedback
Viewed as a trusted resource for client and seen as leader of the team
On point to liaise between client, project management, and analytics/trafficking
Positively participates in team environment
Gives and receives critical feedback gracefully
Manages performance metrics and goals for team
Promotes healthy relationships amongst team members
Builds relationships with relevant partners in agency
Positive spokesperson for the agency
Flexible and adaptable to changing needs of client/department/agency
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience
5 to 7 years experience planning digital media campaigns against client cost per customer, volume or return on investment (ROI) targets.
Solid understanding of various platform media and RTB technologies and programmatic buying through ad exchanges, agency trading desks, DSPs and SSPs
Knowledge of research tools such as Comscore, Ad Relevance, @plan and Media Metrix.
Experience working with DART for Advertisers or other relevant 3rd party adserver.
Solid understanding of online metrics and strong analytical skills to create innovative solutions.
Strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills, including math proficiency.
Good knowledge of the digital media landscape for both branding and direct response campaigns.
Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and with general Web based interfaces.
Experience in the financial marketing category or a related industry a plus.
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
