Digital Product Manager/Technology Architect Lux Research
Lux Research (www.luxresearchinc.com) advises corporations on strategy in emerging technologies, with practices in areas including solar power, smart grid and grid storage, electric vehicles, alternative fuels, biosciences, nanomaterials, green buildings and water. We have an immediate need for a Digital Product Manager/Technology Architect to join our Operations team.
The Digital Product Manager/Technology Architect will be responsible for the roadmap for our client portal and external website, user experience and integration (UX & UI) to related applications both internal and external. You will work hand in hand with members of Research, Consulting, Sales and Marketing to understand product offerings and to define delivery models, with a specific focus on cross application integration from customer facing products through to back office processing.
Prioritize Platform roadmap requirements to support the delivery of Lux Research?s intelligence product suite based on market evidence and business
Owning the product roadmap, coordinating product feature development. The role will require both product and project management. Projects within the roadmap will vary from regular optimization requirements to large scale functional development.
Establish a clear vision for how Lux Research can leverage its research data not only to support our business today, but to propel us into the future
Work directly with the Operations, Sales and Research teams to establish detailed product requirements and represent the voice of customer in the development process
Work with Operations team to specify and implement changes to third-party software configurations
Continuously improve the product development process, incorporating lessons learned and best practices always with a focus on the user experience
Be the consummate team player, going out of your way to ensure exceptional communications between and amongst your colleagues.
Evaluate third party companies and solutions and drive build/buy/partner decisions
Work collaboratively with sales and operations to ensure that products are fully commercialized
Intimately understand Lux Research?s various product offerings and how they can be applied to address specific customer needs
Assist in building business cases ensuring technology requirements and costs align with the overall business strategy
Bachelors degree or equivalent, MBA/Masters preferred
At least 5 years of experience in software product management with a strong UX/UI focus, 7-10 years preferred
Experience integrating data from disparate systems to deliver a seamless customer experience
Experience with some or all of the following technologies: Flex, Java, Oracle, Oracle Utilities, and Saleforce.com
Experience with SaaS applications and web service architectures
A knack for simplifying complex problems
Ability to sift through details quickly and determine what?s important
Ability to work in a fast paced exciting environment with high energy
Superior verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adeptly demonstrate products in front of customers
Ability to interact with co-workers at all levels of the company

New product introduction experience working with cross functional teams to ensure a products are ready to release to market
