Position Summary
The digital sales professional will be responsible for identifying, prospecting and securing media placement contracts with new accounts. Sales initiatives will be targeted directly to the advertiser or to the advertiser?s advertising agency. This position requires resourceful and intelligent prospect identification and remarkable sales skills that compel decision makers (C-suite executives) top choose MSS. This position is specifically compensated for new account development.
Internal Core Expectations ? Execution elements
Develop and maintain a focused new account development digital strategy and surpass sales goals.
Identify specifically targeted prospects that meet ?ideal? new digital account criteria.
Utilize current MSS selling methodology and develop tactical plan with timelines for penetrating and closing digital prospects.
Demonstrate superior skills in selling/closing client digital contracts.
Maintain client relationship contact with client?s key decision maker and key product strategist to receive feedback and look for new or expanded contract opportunities.
Continuous digital sales skill development through MSS training and self paced independent learning.
Maintain accurate and timely data in MSS? CRM system.
Skill specific competencies
Four year College Degree
Minimum 2+ years in professional digital media sales for an advertising agency or media representation group with at least 50% of time spend in new business development.
2+ years experience at developing custom proposals.
Familiarity with digital technologies, terminology, pricing, concepts, research tools and vendors
History of personal sales skills development.
Success in earning commissions that exceed draw or base salary.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
A hunger to learn and ability to flourish in a dynamic, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
