We seek two experienced and successful direct marketing account directors, focused on email marketing, to market and sell access to our compliant, opt-in database of 11.5M consumers to direct marketing advertisers and their agencies/brokers. This is a remarkable opportunity to represent a highly enriched and productive database that achieves the industry's highest open, click through, and conversion rates. The Database and Direct Marketing Account Director will prospect, sell and close transactions and establish long-term relationships with their clients. The position reports to the Vice President of Operations, and offers an outstanding compensation package that rewards revenue production with a generous base, high commission, and participation in Eventful's stock options plan.
REQUIREMENTS Enhance revenue through direct sales to direct marketers, their agencies and brokers. Demonstrated record of success in a direct marketing sales environment. Deep understanding of and success with the Internet, direct marketing, and email database sales. Capacity to create and manage long-term relationships with direct marketing advertisers. Strong communication skills. The ability to structure deals and develop strong client relationships. Good leadership skills.
EXPERIENCE 5+ years database and direct marketing sales and sales management experience with an email emphasis. Experience in a venture backed start-up environment, that is fast-paced and dynamic. Ability to leverage client / agency relationships.
PREFERRED EDUCATION Bachelor's degree.
