Direct Sales Account Executive - Government Industry Sypherlink
Department: Sales and Business Development
Position Responsibilities:
Manage government related sales pipeline; account planning and other related sales tasks with partners to grow information sharing and data integration business profitably. Must make initial contact by working through agency procurement personnel and utilize abilities to influence the appropriate decision maker.
Generate leads, develop pursuit win strategies, and close new business in state and local or Federal public safety sector; Develop client relationship at Government agencies and partners.
Deliver quarterly and annual sales quota objectives.
Develop and penetrate new markets calling on senior-level executives; Provide a clear, compelling and articulate explanation of corporate business value to prospective customers and partners.
Forecast accurately based upon realistic sales opportunity assessments. Manage and report on sales pipeline in a timely manner.
Drive complex sales cycles to deal closure.
Maintain knowledge of public safety industry requirements and relevant national standards (such as NIEM N-DEx) as well as the competitive posture of Sypherlink.
Position Requirements:
5-7 years experience in progressive Information Management software sales and government sales experience. Experience driving sales efforts with information sharing solutions or system integration is desired.
Experience in the Public Safety, Information and Data Management Sectors is critical. Past experience with managing relationships with software partners is desired.
Expert knowledge of the sales cycle and strategic solution selling techniques, backed by exceptional quota exceeding sales performance. Past experience in quota-bearing technical sales within the government industry/Public Safety is critical.
Experience calling on senior-level executives is required.
Self-motivated, self-starter and results-oriented with the ability to work independently as well as within a team and have the flexibility to travel.
Experience with ETL requirements with agency Records Management Systems or Data Management Tools. Fundamental technical aptitude is desired.
Excellent communication skills, including strong negotiation and customer relations talent. Skilled at overcoming objections, contract and pricing negotiations. Clear, logical, and persuasive communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and partner effectively within and outside your immediate team to achieve desired business results.
Experience facilitating meetings, discussions, and recording outcomes or pending actions.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with cloud-based services such as Google Applications and SalesForce.com is highly desired.
Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales quota and other corporate objectives. Prior responsibility for a minimum annual solution license quota of $1.5 million.
Bachelor?s degree ? MBA a plus.
U.S. Citizenship is desired.
